The Delhi Congress chief Subash Chopra has come out in the media and has taken the moral responsibility for the defeat of the party and further extended congratulations to CM Arvind Kejriwal for his upcoming win.
He said that “In the past two to three months, Delhi has been in a very bad state, especially for students, be it violence at Jamia, JNU or the recent incident at Gargi College. However, the way Delhi voted and defied the claims of BJP, it is clear that Delhiites do not support communal forces.”
Furthermore, another Congress leader P Chidambaram had his say as, “AAP won, bluff and bluster lost. The people of Delhi, who are from all parts of India, have defeated the polarising, divisive and dangerous agenda of the BJP. I salute the people of Delhi who have set an example to other states that will hold their elections in 2021 and 2022.”
The current standing has shown AAP already winning 6 seats while leading in 58 seats (inclusive of leads + wins) while BJP has 12 leads. Congress still hasn’t opened up its stance and has no leads currently.
