As the Union Budget will present tomorrow by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Chief Economic Advisor KV Subramanian is to present the Economic Survey prior to the budget. After this presentation, the FM Sitharaman will present the budget 2019 on Friday (tomorrow). Generally, the economic survey released a day prior to the Union budget. As the name suggests, this survey provides information on the progress made in the country’s overall economy and its government schemes in the last one year is given.
Therefore, it is considered as an important document of the Finance Ministry which tells about the overall economic health of a country. However, the way of presenting the economic survey has changed after the year 2015. The first part released before the budget and second part of the key figures and data released in July or August. This year, there was Lok Sabha Election so Piyush Goyal presented the interim budget and didn’t submit the economic survey.
