About the Company:
Shree Cement is primarily an Indian cement manufacturer. It was founded in Beawar in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan in the year 1979 and now headquartered in Kolkata, is one of the biggest cement makers in Northern India. It also produces and sells power under the name Shree Power and Shree Mega Power. Since 2006, it has more than quadrupled its production capacity both by expanding into new areas and increasing the capacities of the existing plants. Shree Cement has been ranked 4th in 2017 Responsible Business Rankings developed by IIM Udaipur. Plants are located in Beawar, Ras, Khushkhera, Jaipur and Suratgarh in Rajasthan, Laksar (Roorkee) in Uttarakhand, Panipat in Haryana, Bulandshahar in UP, Raipur in Chhattisgarh and Aurangabad in Bihar. Shree cements was clearly the second largest cement company in India (By Market Cap) in 2018.
QoQ & YoY Performance:
India’s one of the leading cement manufacturing company in North India has declared the results for the fourth and final quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2020.
- QoQ Performance: Consolidated Net revenue of the company reported at Rs.3415.14 Crores rose by almost 8.55% in the March quarter of FY20. Total expenditure (excluding interest and depreciation expenses) stood at Rs.2358.41 Crores is increased by 4.06%. EBITDA numbers increased by 22.18%.
- YoY Performance: The Company has reported a 2.13% decline in sales/revenue while expenditure (excluding interest and depreciation expenses) of the company have witnessed a downtick by 9.15%. EBITDA numbers also soar by 22.58%.
- Profitability of the company: Profit after tax of the company resulted in gain of Rs.536.65 Crores rose by 72.10% QoQ and increased by 56.87% YoY.
As per Lokesh Sethia, SEBI Registered Research Analyst, the Shree Cement rose 1.91% closed today at Rs.18,740.85 per share on the BSE, the company’s combined financial performance reflecting very good strength in the income statement. So, it seems like stock price can be touch 21,360 levels in near future so that our recommendation for Shree Cement is to BUY.
