After defying most of the exit polls, BJP emerged as the single largest party with 40 seats only 6 short of the halfway mark needed to make government in Haryana. On the other hand, the Congress party showed a resurgent performance after winning 31 seats. There are total of 90 seats in Haryana where the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) led by the Dushyant Chautala emerged as a potential kingmaker with the 10 seats.
In short, the JJP holds the key that would decide who would make the next government in Haryana. Meanwhile, the BJP party has sent feelers to Dushyant Chautala’s debutante party JJP, which begged 10 seats in the election.
Potential kingmaker Dushyant Chautala will meet his 10 legislators in Delhi today to decide which party to support in order to make the new government in Haryana. Though Chautala has remained non-committal on whether to support BJP or Congress it is believed that he would soon meet Union Home Minister and BJP chief Amit Shah soon.
The BJP which has gain victory in Maharashtra will remain watchful which way the wind blows.
