The early trends of Lok Sabha Election results on today painted a grim picture for National Congress party which was leading in about 116 seats however the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance was leading over 320 seats in Lok Sabha. Congress President Rahul Gandhi was leading from Wayanad; Kerala, however, was trailing from his home turf Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.
BJP itself was leading in over 260 seats.
On the other side, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor was reported to be trailing in earlier trends but with time, he started gaining momentum and is now leading in its constituency however BJP candidate Kummanam Rajasekharan who was earlier leading from Thiruvananthapuram is now trailing in its constituency.
In Mumbai, actor-turned-politician Urmila Matondkar was trailing from Mumbai North.
