The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty50 index which closed near 11,035.40 is now opened on a positive note near 11,068.75. Currently, it is trading near 11,144.15, 108.75 points up. (12:41 PM IST)
During its trading session many stocks touched their 52-week highs including the Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company Aarti Drugs Ltd which touched a new intraday high of Rs. 707.00 today after breaking its previous high of Rs. 684.00. It is after when the company said it board will meet on Friday on March 15 for a share buyback proposal.
In a regulatory filing it said, “The meeting of the board of directors of the company is scheduled to be held on Friday, 15th March, 2019, to consider proposal of buyback of the fully paid-up equity shares of the company including matters related/incidental thereto”.
