The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty50 index which opened on a positive note today has plunged in the morning session and touched an intraday low of 10,628.65. Currently, it is trading 57.35 points higher at 10,729.60. (03:26 PM IST)
During its trading session, many stocks hit their fresh 52-week lows on NSE including the Indian automobile company Ashok Leyland which touched an 18-month low and 52-week low today. Ashok Leyland hits its 52-week of 10 Dec. 2018 of Rs. 97.70 and come to Rs. 96.00 and extended their 4 percent fall in the past two days after recording weak December sales numbers.
On yearly basis, the Ashok Leyland reported a dismal set of numbers second time in the calendar by reporting a de-growth of 20 percent in its monthly sales of 15,493 units.
