The suspense is now over. The Congress party has dethroned the Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s led BJP government from Madhya Pradesh after 15 years.
All the eyes were on Madhya Pradesh assembly election results as the trends were fluctuating between the Congress and BJP. At last, the Congress party triumphed. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who was the Chief Minister of the state since 2005, had to face the anger of the upper cast population in the assembly elections 2018 over the SC/ST Amendment Act.
The Madhya Pradesh concludes:
Congress - 114, BJP - 109, BSP - 2, SP - 1 and Independents - 4 seats.
Although the Congress has emerged as the single biggest party in Madhya Pradesh but fell some short of the majority mark as counting for the final numbers. Interesting thing is, just minutes ahead of the announcement of final results, the BJP had too staked claim to form the form of government.
However the near about 2:30 AM, the Congress top leaders Kamal Nath, Digvijaya Singh, and Jyotiraditya Scindia held a press conference and said to wrote a letter to Anandiben Patel (MP Governor) to prove their worth.
If the Congress forms the government in the state, then MP Congress chief is a front runner to become the next Chief Minister.
