The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark SENSEX index is trading higher at the level of 36,625.32 (23 Jul, 1:47 PM IST) despite opening at the level of 36,501.05 from its previous closing level of 36,496.37. In fact, it succeeds to kiss a level of 36,630.82 in its morning trading hour. However its off day’s high as some selling pressure seen in the auto, IT energy, and metal pack.
On the other hand, the NIFTY is doing well by holding onto the 11k-mark. The credit goes to the FMCG, pharma space, and infra is providing support to the indices.
The M-cap and S-cap indices are outperforming the benchmark indices. In mid-cap, the Alkem Lab, Bajaj Holdings, Castrol, Emani, CG Consumer, GRUH Finance are among the top gainers.
Berger Paints, Havells, Relaxo Footwears, Borosil Glass Works, and Asian Paints are some of the few stocks that hit fresh 52-week high. On the other hand, around 218 stocks hit a fresh 52-week low including JK Cement, MT Educare, Hindalco Industries, BEML, Amtek Auto, Gammon India among others.
