Today the BSE-Sensex opened at the level of 33,778.60 from its previous closing level of 34,033.96. Currently, it is trading near 33,761.59, 272.37 down. (2:53 PM IST)
During its trading session, many stocks hit fresh 52-week lows including the shares of Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) which cracked over 7 percent to hit its fresh 52-week low on the BSE today. Shares of DHFL plunged today after the F&O ban segment on the NSE. When the open interest of a stock crosses 95 percent of market-wide position limit, the stock comes under the F&O ban period.
The stocks were trading at Rs 177.30, down 6.76 percent on the BSE around 12 pm. In fact, the stock has lost two-thirds of its market value in last just one month.
