Today the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty50 index which closed near 11,843.75 at the previous trading session is now opened on a flat note at 11,865.20. Currently, it is trading near 11,843.80, 0.050 points up. (12:42 PM IST) During the trading session, it touched an intraday low of 11,769.50.
During the trading session, many shares hit their fresh 52-week lows on NSE including the shares of Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) which touched its fresh 52-week lows on NSE today and come to Rs. 85.75 from a previous 52-week low of Rs. 91.30 in today’s trading session.
On Thursday, the stock of DHFL plunged around 16 percent after rating agencies Crisil, CARE, and ICRA downgraded commercial papers issued by DHFL to default or ‘D’ category. It is after when the company missed an interest payment on its non-convertible debentures (NCDs).
However, in the meantime, the company is rising at about Rs. 900 crore by issuing Pass-Through Certificates (PTCs).
Apart from DHFL, over 85 stocks have also touched their fresh 52-week lows on NSE today.
