Emami hits new 52-week low

BSE-Sensex which had a flat opening in today’s trading session opened at the level of 33,963.09 from its previous closing level of 33,891.13. However, just after the opening, it surged and trading near 34,230.30, 339.17 points up. (02:25 PM)
During its trading session, many stocks hit their respective 52-week highs and lows including the shares of Emami which fall by up to 9% on the BSE in intra-trade on Wednesday. It is just after the reporting a weak set of numbers for the quarter ended September 2018. (Q2FY19)
However, it was down 4.5% to Rs 386 in intra-day trade after personal products company – Emami posted a flat growth in consolidated revenue at Rs 6.28 billion on the back of 4% decline in domestic volume.
The management which guided double-digit volume growth earlier is now targeting double-digit sales growth to the end of the year.
