HCL Technologies Limited, one of India's largest IT service companies has reported a rise in the second-quarter net profit by 14.8%, thereby exceeding the analysts expectations. The rise in profits is attributed to the increase in revenue from its software services business.
The net profit of the company has increased to 25.34 billion rupees in the quarter ended 30 September from 22.07 billions last year.
The analysts expected an increase in profits of Rs 24.50 billion.
The revenue from operations rose by 19.5% to 148.60 billion rupees. The revenue from the software business for the quarter climbed by 21% to 87.11 billion rupees.
