The NSE 50-share index Nifty50 which opened higher in today’s session is trading 4.15 points down, at 10.578.35. (3:16 PM IST)
Same can be said about the BSE-Sensex which also fell into the negative territory. Despite the healthy buying in blue-chip stocks, falling in crude prices, and strong rupee, the indices are trading in red. The IT, Pharma, and realty indices continued their downward trajectory.
Many stocks hit their 52-week lows but there are some stocks that hit the 52-week highs in today’s trading session such as Electrosteel, Gujarat Flurochemicals, Linde India, and SMS Lifesciences India etc.
Even the ICICI Bank hit a fresh 52-week high on Wednesday, surging to an intraday high of Rs369.90 per share, after breaking its previous 52-week record of Rs365.70.
