The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark index SENSEX opened slightly above its previous closing level of 37,494.40 to the level of 37,534.95. However, it couldn’t sustain its opening level and start plunging the next moment. Now it below more than 60 points.
The result, many stocks see fall in today’s SENSEX trading session where the InterGlobe Aviation slipped nearly 10 percent in the morning trade which further led to the hit of fresh 52-week low of 905.20. It has reported a massive 96.6 percent fall in the first quarter (Q1) net profit due to the higher fuel prices and the adverse impact of forex.
Profit for the quarter declined to Rs 27.8 crore from Rs 811.1 crore in June quarter 2017.
