The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty50 index which opened near 11,646.85 closed on a lower note below 10,600 levels near 11,584.30, 87.65 points down. It was the selling pressure that dragged the market down in the last couple of hours of trade and whipped out all gains.
Looks like the investors and traders turned cautious ahead of elections phase 1 on April 11 and top companies’ quarterly earnings on April 12.
On the other hand, the BSE-Sensex closed at 29,803.50, down 310.35 points.
Taking cues from trading session it is expected to see a flat to negative opening in today’s trading session.
