On Friday, the benchmark indices of the domestic market closed on a negative note. It is the eighth consecutive session when both Nifty and Sensex closed on a negative note.
The Nifty50 which opened near 11,314.15 is now closed below 11,300 levels near 11,278.90, 22.90 points down. During the trading session, it touched an intraday low of 11,251.05. On the other hand, the BSE-Sensex closed near 37,462.99, 95.92 points down while opening at 37,632.36.
The mid-cap and small-cap index ended with marginal gains.
Global Update: Wall Street’s major indices rose after Trump and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin’s positive comment on trade talks between the US and China.
Taking cues from the previous trading session and global sentiment, it is expected to see a flat to a negative opening in today’s trading session.
