The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty50 index which opened near 11,958.35 at previous trading session was closed at 11,928.75, 4 points up, on a flat note. During the trading session it touched an intraday low of 11,864.90. As a result, the index formed a ‘Hanging Man’ candle on daily charts.
On the other hand, the BSE-SENSEX which opened near 39,765.64 at previous trading session closed at 39,749.73, 66.44 points up.
Despite the flat opening, both benchmark indices managed to close on a slightly higher note on third consecutive session amid a positive trend in Asian peers on May 28.
Rupee Update: The Indian rupee declined on May 28 by 18 paise to close at 69.69 against the US currency.
Taking cues from the previous trading session it is expected to see a flat to a negative opening in today’s trading session.
