On Friday, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index opened sharply lower at 10,339.70 from its previous closing level of 10,453.05 and extended sell-off as the day progressed. As a result, the index closed 149.50 points down, at 10,303.55. During its trading session, it plunged and touched an intraday low of 10,249.60. But, during the closing hour, a bit of recovery has seen in the trade.
The index formed a small bearish candle on daily candlestick charts. On the other hand, the BSE-Sensex fell more than 450 points as bear further tightened their grip on Dalal Street. It is due to the weak global cue and Reliance’s mixed Q2 earnings.
Taking a cue from the previous session and global sentiment, it is expected to see a flat to negative sentiment in today’s session.
