The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty50 index which opened near 11,999.80 on Friday closed 23.10 points at 11,922.80. During the trading session, it touched an intraday low of 11,829.45. After a volatile session, the market closed on red despite the hopes of new reforms from the newly formed Modi government.
As a result, the index formed a bearish candle on daily candlestick charts.
On the other hand, the Bank Nifty index closed at 31,375.40, 161.70 points down.
