The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty50 index which closed opened on a flat note, slightly higher at 10,851.35 closed 62.70 points up near the level of 10,893.65.
The reason the index closed higher on Feb. 01 is due to the steady announcements in fiscal discipline, and provided stimulus to farmers and taxpayers through several schemes.
As a result, the index formed a bullish candle on daily candlestick charts.
Taking cues from previous trading session and global sentiment, it is expected to see a flat opening in today's trading session.
The Wall Street closed on a mixed note due to weaker-than-expected outlook from Amazon.com.
