The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty50 index which opened near 11,962.45 at previous trading session closed on a lower note near 11,906.20, 59.40 points down. During the trading session, it touched an intraday low of 11,866.35.
On the other hand, the BSE-SENSEX fell 193.65 points.
It seems the market snapped a three-day winning streak to close sharply lower on June 12 as traders turned cautious ahead of the factory and retail inflation data.
Global Update: The major indices of Wall Street fell down on Wednesday, with declining in bank stocks as prospects of a US interest rate cut rose and energy share tumbling along with oil prices.
Taking cues from global sentiment and the previous trading session, it is expected to see a flat opening in today’s trading session.
