The NSE 50-share benchmark index Nifty50 which opened on a negative note at previous trading session at 11,395.65 closed at 11,354.25, 102.65 points down. During its trading session it touched an intraday low of 11,311.60.
On the other hand, the BSE-Sensex closed at 37,808.91, 355.70 points down.
It was a weak start of the week in domestic market where all the sectoral indices closed in red. However the Nifty midcap and smallcap index fell 1 percent each.
Taking cues from the previous trading session it is expected to see a flat opening in today’s trading session.
Rupee Update: The Indian rupee ended almost flat on yesterday at 8.96 per dollar as participants preferred to wait on the situation to see the outcome of the RBI’s first-ever-dollar swap auction.
