The National Stock Exchange (NSE) 50-share benchmark index Nifty50 which opened near 11,768.15 at previous trading session closed on a higher note near 11,847.55, 51.10 points up. On the other hand, the BSE-SENSEX closed 157.14 points up at 39,592.08.
During the trading session, the benchmark indices rallied and ended at a two-week closing high with Nifty surpassing its 50-DEMA, backed by optimism over the US-China trade deal. As a result, the Nifty index formed a bullish candle on daily candlestick charts.
Global Update: The drop in healthcare shares overshadowed the gains in technology stocks, resulting in the dip in S&P500 index on Wall Street. Furthermore, the other benchmark indices NASDAQ Composite and DJIA also closed on a lower note.
Taking cues from the previous trading session and global sentiment, it is expected to see a flat opening in today’s trading session.
