On yesterday, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) benchmark index Nifty opened slightly lower than its previous closing level of 11,589.10 and opened at 11,570.25. However it lost all its gains throughout the session and closed at the level of 11,438.10.
As a result, it hits the psychological 11,500-mark on Monday, tracking further weakness in Indian rupee which ended at new record closing low of 72.45 to the dollar. The partial reason for this is renewed trade tensions between US and China also dented sentiment.
Taking cues from the previous sentiment and global sentiment it is expected to see a flat opening in today’s session and flat to negative sentiment in Tuesday’s trade.
