Today, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index opened trading flat to negative and set to a level of 10,789.45 from its previous close level of 10,799.85. It is mostly the influence of negative sentiment in the global market where Wall Street’s major indices trading with negative sentiment.
The increase in the crude oil prices affected the oil sectors. This is why, with the down in the domestic market, the major oil and gas leaders like Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum, and Bharat Petroleum are among the top losers of today.
However, the domestic petroleum source ONGC has the advantage of rising in the oil prices which strengthen its position in the market. Thus, ONGC is among the top gainer of today’s Nifty trading session.
