As expected, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) benchmark index NIFTY opened on a flat note at a level of 11,311.05 from its previous closing level of 11,319.55. However, it couldn’t sustain its opening level and start plunging in the next second. In fact, in its early trading hour, it plunged even lower and couldn’t hold the 11,300-mark and touched a low of 11,284.15.
Among the top losers in the NIFTY 50-share index are Bharat Petroleum, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Adani Ports and among others.
The top gainers are Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, ONGC, PowerGrid, and Dr. Reddy etc.
The current market sentiment is due to the overbought of the index.
