Today the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty opened on flat to negative note at the level slightly higher than its previous closing level of 11,536.90 to 11,558.25. However, just after the opening, it starts plunging and trading around the levels of 11,500.00.
So, technically, it’s a negative start on the market this Friday morning as tepid cues weighed on indices. There’s all-around selling among all sectors, with banks, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, and FMCG dragging the most.
The top gainers among Nifty 50 are Bajaj-Auto, GAIL India, Tata Motors, Coal India, and Bharat Petroleum. And the top losers are Sun Pharma, Power Grid, Yes Bank, HCL technology, and ICICI bank etc.
Update: The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 71.95 per dollar on Friday versus 71.99 Thursday.
