As expected the National Stock Exchange (NSE) benchmark index Nifty opened on a negative note at the level of 11,570.25 from its previous closing level of 11,589.10. However, after the opening, it starts plunging and trading near the level of 11,563.70 (10, Sep 09:23 AM IST).
The tepid global cues along with Indian rupee’s domestic movements could be the reason odd negative sentiment in the Monday’s session.
Anyways, the top gainers among Nifty 50 are Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj-Auto, Lupin, Bharti Airtel, and M&M, however, the top losers are Yes Bank, Adani Ports, Power Grid, Sun Pharma, and SBIN.
Update: The Indian rupee opened at a fresh record low of 72.18 per dollar on Monday, down 45 paise from previous close 71.73.
