Today the public sector company National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has hit its 52-week low on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday. Even the BSE-Sensex index which opened on a flat note at the level of 35,492.62 is trading 279.14 points down at the level of 35,195.37. (33:12 PM IST)
NTPC came down to Rs. 147 (1% down), falling 8% thus far in November just after India’s largest electricity generator, reported a marginal decline in its September quarter (Q2FY19) net profit at Rs. 24.26 billion. However, in a year-ago quarter, it reported a net profit of Rs. 24.39 billion.
NTPC is not the only one but even the shares of Steel Authority of India (SAIL) have also hit its respective 52-week low on today.
