Today, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index which opened slightly higher at 11,164.40 from its previous closing level of 11,143.10 plunged just after the opening and lost all its gains in early hours. The Nifty 50 crossed the psychological 11,000-mark and trading near the levels of 11,000.
Many stocks have hit the 52-week record today including shares of Yes Bank, Jet Airways, Godrej Properties, Edelweiss Financial Services, Everyday industries, Reliance Capital, Reliance Infrastructure, Anil Ambani Group, Central Bank of India, Karur Vysya Bank, IFCI, Ujjivan Financial Services, and Finolex Industries among others.
The Yes Bank hit a fresh 52-week low of Rs 216, down 5% in intraday trade on the NSE. The stock tanked 29% on Friday after the Reserve bank of India (RBI) sacked Rana Kapoor.
However, there are few stocks that hit the fresh 52-week highs. On the NSE, the stocks that hit 52-week highs are Monnet Ispat & Energy Limited, Delta Magnets Limited, Electrosteels Limited, Gangotri Textiles, Prakash Steelage, Wipro Limited, and Spacenet Enterprises India Limited etc.
