Today, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) benchmark index Nifty opened at the level of 11,340.10 from its previous closing level of 11,287.50. Despite the positive opening, the index couldn’t sustain its level and fall in the morning session. However it was able to recover some in later sessions, but before this many stocks hit fresh 52-week lows in today’s trading session.
Over 130 stocks, including Accelya Kale Solutions, BEL, Blue Dart Express, Castrol India, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Indiabulls Real Estate, Jaypee Infratech, South Indian Bank, Syndicate Bank, Sun TV Network, Manappuram Finance, Jaiprakash Associates, Greenply Industries, D.B. Corp, Camlin Fine Sciences, BEML, Apollo Tyres, and among other stocks touched the 52-week lows in today’s session.
This fall is partially impacted by the depreciation in rupee against the US Dollar.
