Today the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index opened nearly 300 points lower at 10,169.80 from its previous closing level of 10,460.10. However, just after the opening it fluctuates and short-recovered. Currently, it is trading near 10,288.05, 172.05 points lower. (02:07 PM IST)
Over 235 stocks, including Bharti Airtel, Castrol India, Central Bank of India, Andhra Sugars, Asahi India Glass, D.B. Corp, Bank of Maharashtra, Max Financial Services, Asahi India Glass, Unitech, Tata Communications, Zodiac Clothing Company, Bharat Road Network, and Vivimed Labs, hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE during today’s session.
It is due to weak global cues and fall in the value of rupee that kept the domestic market under pressure.
However, there are few stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE which are Jain Studios Ltd. and Prakash Steelage Ltd.
