The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index turned choppy after registering a positive start on Tuesday. Mixed global cues kept investors cautious while rupee’s rise and easing crude prices gave some hope.
Today, the Nifty index opened at the level of 10,390.30 from its previous closing level of 10,348.05. Currently, it is trading near 10,357.85, 9.80 points higher (2:32 PM IST). During its trading session, many stocks hit fresh 52-week lows including Bank of Baroda, Bombay Dyeing, Central bank of India, Dilip Buildcon, Emami, Godrej Properties, Maruti Suzuki India, United Spirits, Tata Motors, Voltamp Transformers, and Tata Power Company among others.
On the other hand, there are only four companies including Monnet Ispat & Energy Ltd., Jain Studios, Prakash Steelage, and Spacenet Enterprises India Ltd. who hit the fresh 52-week highs.
