The Wall Street had flat start to the week on Monday as the investors are waiting for the earnings report of the Alphabet, parent company of the search engine giant Google.
Dow Jones plunged to 25,062.12. The Nasdaq futures opened marginally higher at 7266.28. The futures for the Standard & Poor's 500 index were down at 2704.69.
After the strong jobs report for the month of January, the investors are waiting eagerly for the Alphabet earnings report which is scheduled to be announced after the bell. Furthermore, the Fed Chairman Jerome Powell is expected to give a speech this week, probably on Wednesday. His speech is eagerly awaited by the investors.
