The U.S stock index futures did not have a good start to the week as it opened lower in the early trading session on Monday because of the growing tensions between the United States and Saudi Arabia.
Dow 30 opened lower at 25,332.46 while S&P 500 index opened marginally higher at 2774.18. Nasdaq also opened slightly higher at 7507.84.
The investors are worried about the escalating tensions between the two tensions that has sparked a rise in the oil prices worldwide. The President Donald Trump has threatened severe punishment, if the involvement of the Saudi Kingdom is found in a missing journalist. Saudi Arabia has also said that they will also retaliate if any action is taken by the United States.
