The U.S stock index futures opened lower in the early trading session on Thursday despite better than expected corporate results, mainly by Walmart and Cisco.
Dow Jones futures opened lower at 25061.48. The Nasdaq and S&P also opened lower at 7112.83 and 2701.75.
Besides the strong corporate earnings report, market sentiment has also improved on the news that China has provided a written response to the trade demands of the U.S. The investors are hoping that this move could bring an end to the trade disputes between the two nations.
