The U.S stock index futures opened lower on Thursday as the investors are hoping that the U.S and China may resolve the trade war issues in the G-20 summit beginning from Friday.
The futures for the Nasdaq opened fell to 7267.37, while Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled to 25,343.65. The Standard & Poor's 500 index futures also disappointed the investors at it opened lower at 2735.37.
President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping are scheduled for a face-to-face meeting at the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The investors are optimistic that the meeting between the two leader may end on a positive note and put an end to the trade war.
