The Indian benchmark indices ended with lower tone. Nifty50 fails to retain at 10800 level, closed with 26 points down or -0.25% at 10,794.95. While, Sensex ended nearly 100 down or -0.27% at 36,009.84. Among sectoral indices, all the sectors closed on negative territory. However, Nifty FMCG ended nearly a percent higher.
Meanwhile, Nifty's 11,000 call option contract was among the most active option contracts with 47 Lakh shares in open interest, which hinting a resistance although before budget the market is expected to be in positive territory.
Mixed sentiments from global markets shows a flat tone among investors.
