Indian benchmark indices finished day on a sharp positive note ahead of second quarter corporate earnings sessions. However, IndusInd Bank was the top gainer today on NSE as it has Q2FY20 earning tomorrow. At close, Nifty closed 186.90 points in the green at 11313.30 while Sensex ended 645.97 points higher or 1.72 percent at 38177.95. Overall market breadth was positive where 821 stocks were declined and 964 stocks advanced and 346 were unchanged on NSE. All the sectoral indices closed in green except Nifty IT shares. India VIX, which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, was down 4.13% at 17.09.
According to weekly option derivatives diaries, maximum Call Unwinding open interest of 4.38 lakh contracts was seen at the 11500 strike price, which will act as a crucial resistance level for tomorrow trading session. However, Put writing open interest seen at 11200 strike price with 9.33 lakh contracts, which will act as a strong support.
